4 Star approved self-catering

The Barn is NITB 4 Star approved and furnished with an eclectic mix of colours. To decorate we have used traditional Irish crafts, knits and embroideries, shabby chic in style. It has a strong heritage feel throughout with features including cast iron radiators, exposed brick and wooden floors. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a short stay.   This accommodation has external steps leading to the entrance so it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Please note dining and seating space is for 5. At maximum capacity, there is little space for entertaining but if guests have family or friends visiting, they are welcome to use the space in the main guest house and can be discussed before arrival. 

The Barn has 3 bedrooms, accommodating up to 7 guests (5 adults max.).

Books, board games and DVDs are available to borrow from the main house on request.

The hot tub is located in the garden pavilion at the foot of the steps to The Barn and are well placed for the garden play areas for children. The BBQ patio area with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows is a popular feature. 

Electric card for the Barn is purchased on arrival £20 for 2-5 days.  

The family live on-site are on hand should any assistance be required.

Guests in The Barn can also arrange to book in for a breakfast over in The Storehouse!

Towels provided.

We leave enough toilet rolls to start your stay but guests should provide their own for longer stays.

We provide tea towels dishcloths and appropriate washing products.

A washing machine and tumble drier is available in the main house to use. There is no charge to use the washing machine and washing capsules can be purchased on site.

Heating is included and controlled by a thermostat in the first bedroom.

Cots are charged at £15 and include a flat sheet however we do not supply baby bedding - please bring your own.

Hot tub charge £10 per person or £20 for group – we waive this fee for all direct bookings

Deposit Terms

We charge all self-catering guests a refundable  £100 damage waiver. For return of monies,  we please request: no damage, no felt tip pens, we ask that guests leave all waste in the bin beside steps, please remove bottles/glass waste from the site and ensure dishes are clean and returned to the cupboard or if you are pressed for time please fill the dishwasher and leave it on, heating and electric all to be left off.  We do like to say goodbye but if there is no answer at our house door please leave keys on the table in the Barn.

For return of deposit, we request you message us after with your details confirming if paid by bank transfer (we must return the same way you paid) or if you paid by card we might need card details again, this is refundable two days later to allow for all cleaning checks to be complete.

Facilities
Generous & secure private car parking is provided. A garage is also available on advance request for motorbikes, classic cars etc. For children, there is a large grassed lawn and an enclosed courtyard with some ride-on toys available on request for toddlers and small children under parental supervision. An ideal location for families!
